These pieces are hand made from solid wood and more substantial as compared to most name brand furniture; tables are planked; backs, drawers, moldings and shelving are solid; drawers are dovetailed and doors are thicker to reduce rattling. This is not "manufactured" looking furniture and blemishes or imperfections are not covered up but rather included as part of the finish; we say "blessed with nature's perfect imperfections".
