Since this furniture is finished by hand allowances must be made for the variations that will occur from piece to piece.

As with any fine furniture, avoid placing in direct sunlight or next to any heating or cooling devices. This does not include typical central HVAC systems. However, extreme heat or air conditioning can have damaging effects, as can excessive moisture or dryness. Painted furniture will always preserve best in a controlled atmosphere. As a general rule, maintain a moderate climate at all times.

For cleaning or dusting, use a feather duster or a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using furniture polishes, waxes, and sprays.
